Gen X/Y

This is a 2-day Adventure Weekend trip in the mountains of West Virginia. We will be rafting the Lower New River on Saturday and doing zipline canopy tours on Sunday! The New River 'sports' some 20+ rapids from Class I-IV along its 15 mile stretch and the trip terminates under the scenic New River Gorge Bridge. Sunday's activities commence with ziplining through the trees along the side of the Gorge. Double ziplines allow for racing at heights 100 ft above the ground. Who wouldn't want to do this?

We will be camping out Friday and Saturday nights. You will need to supply your own camping gear. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday are included. Sunday meals are not.

Leaving: Friday Aug 26, 2011 at 400pm by carpool from

UPS, 5601 Eisenhower Ave, Alexandria, Va 22304 across from Van Dorn St Metro. You may choose to leave earlier or later as long as you are at the campground by 700am on Saturday. It is a 5 hour trip.

Returning: Sunday, Aug 28 about 9pm

Cost: $332 includes 1 day rafting, 1/2 day zipline, 2 nights camping, 3 meals on Saturday.

Non-SCWDC members add $15

Does not include: Camping gear or meals on Sunday or Friday.
