Biking

We play every Tuesday, year round weather permitting, at Wakefield Park just outside the beltway off Braddock Road.

Formal play begins at 5pm, but some of us often start earlier, especially in the winter (if it is at least 50 degrees). During summer months we often play until 8pm.

This event is organized by email. If you are writing on the day of the event, please write before 10am.  If your email is not acknowledged, you can still come - and take space available.  It's best if you write the night before.

To get on the email list, send message to Bob Lucas at bobjl77@hotmail.com. We reserve courts to accommodate the number who sign up in advance, but drop ins are OK also.  Costs are shared among participants, based on court rental fees paid to Fairfax County Park Authority.

This is a self rated social doubles format open to all levels of players starting with advanced beginner, able to serve and return serve.   We will try to place everyone at their correct self rated level, however this cannot be guaranteed. Tennis lessons are not provided and players should bring a tennis racquet and balls.  Socialize afterward at a local pub. For more information, contact Bob Lucas at bobjl77@hotmail.com.
